Participation Information
Participating in our Two's Program provides parents with the opportunity to meet other
families, get a taste of the cooperative preschool experience, and even enjoy a bit of "away time"
once a week.
The program is run as a cooperative, and three parents help in the classrooms each Monday.
All parents are welcome to stay during class time.
Program Information
- Age 2 by September 1st
- Attends Mondays from 2PM to 4PM, September through May.
- Tuition is $40 per month.
- No additional fees.
- Families donate to and participate in fall fundraising auction.
- Child does NOT need to be potty trained.
- Two's Program students are given priority for enrollment in our preschool classes.
Teacher
JoLea Ulschmid has a master's degree in special education and 15 years experience working with young children.
Her son attended Burlingame Preschool, and her daughter participated the Two's Program this year. JoLea's students and their families greatly benefit from her love of teaching and her commmitment to our school.
Our Two's Program
Held in Burlingame Preschool's cheerful classrooms, our Two's Program fully embraces the idea of learning through play. During each class,
the children's energies and imaginations are engaged with art, music, books, environment exploration, and outdoor time.

Clean Up & Snack Time
Skills Nurtured: trying new foods, self-help opportunities, group gathering
- 3:20 – 3:40PM
Outdoor Play (Indoor motor play if necessary)
Skills Nurtured: Swinging and sliding on play structures, riding trikes, climbing trees, blowing bubbles, jumping, running, cooperation
- 3:40 – 4:00PM
Group/Music Time & Departure
Skills Nurtured: group games, language, rhythm, dancing, introduction to instruments, books, attending, singing, departure song
